Sabotage Movie Review

“Sabotage” is a full on visual attack of carnage.
There is sex, drugs, and corrupt DEA agents, but once you get past all of that, then the rest of the film is pretty much gory graphic death.
Schwarzenegger is at his best, and I loved his portrayal of his character throughout the entire movie. At no time did he shoot a ridiculously big gun, which had previously been mounted to a helicopter. He was the Schwarzenegger that the paparazzi catch walking around in real life; smoking his cigars, and working out at the gym; a more relatable screen presence, minus the part of him being undercover DEA with no regard for the law.

*Spoiler alerts*

The kill shots are very graphic for a Schwarzenegger movie. The aftermath of a guy going one-on-one with a train and what was left afterwards. The most realistic scene of a fast moving car hitting a bicyclist ever. The list goes on and on, because this is the kind of movie where everybody dies (well most everybody).
There are videos of a drug cartel torturing people, including Schwarzenegger’s wife. Some stuff is only talked about and not seen, like the cartel mailing Schwarzenegger’s wife’s face to him. Then some things are seen, like a guy getting his head sawed off with a knife.

The story was solid, and there was a great plot that was easy to follow. Schwarzenegger had a proven motive for his actions, and it was well done. Unfortunately for me, the death scenes and the graphic nature took away from a potentially good action movie. I have to give this movie two thumbs down, and I recommend you wait to see it when it comes out on TV.

Murder idea from the movie: Before dumping a body into a lake or the ocean, wrap the body tightly in chicken wire first; that way when the body expands from gases being released while decomposing, the chicken wire will cut into the flesh allowing the gases to escape; the body then will not float.  (NOTE FROM CHRIS ALLRED: Do not commit murder or use this idea)
