Back Alley Barbers Live in the Cemetery

The Back Alley Barbers is the greatest band that I have ever hung out with in a cemetery…hands down the best. Maybe I can get them to put a subliminal message in their music so that everyone will crave my lemon cakes.

Hanging with the Barbers gave me an appreciation for them, not only as a band, but as individuals. They really enjoy what they do, and it’s apparent.

If you haven’t checked them out…please do. Save up your pennies and go buy their new album “Memento Mori”.

Move over John Wayne…my lemon cakes are coming to town.

Terry Tate and "THE OLD PUEBLO GUNFIGHTER'S" down in AZ did me right by filming a real deal Western for my lemon cakes.

I don’t know what I am more proud of…that something I created got to star in a Western, or that the lemon cakes survived the Pony Express down to AZ.

My lemon cakes are the real deal…no matter if they’re my standard recipe or GF...

What a fabulous day…I had a GF lemon cake video/photo shoot with actor Todd Robinson and then ended the day with another video/photo shoot with the band Back Alley Barbers.

The KILLER BURGER crew eating up some lemon cakes...

These are some of the photos that we took while hanging with the folks that make the world’s best burgers. I turned the pics B&W because I feel it gives a classic look…and it just happens that “The Classic” is my favorite burger at KB…what can I say, I’m old school.

Thank you Killer Burger for doing your part in letting the world know that when it comes to lemon cake…you don’t share. Much love to the best burger joint around!!!!

Lemon Cake Fundraiser

I need your help raising awareness. Did you that the average American has never tasted the “world’s best lemon cake”? It is hard to imagine a world without lemon cake, but that’s what is happening in your neighborhood, in your town; lemon cake deprivation.

Lucy Movie Review

“Lucy” was not what I was expecting…at all. “Lucy” is what you get when you give the Discovery Channel $40 million to go make a movie.

What…are you telling me that the Discovery Channel didn’t make this movie?  Some executives over there better be suing somebody, because Hollywood just ripped off their format.

One of the stupidest movies ever; however, if they did play “Lucy” on Discovery, or even the History or National Geographic Channel, then I would be happy to watch it and probably give it great reviews, because that is where it belongs.

Did I mention that the movie was stupid? “Lucy” was one of the movies that I was looking forward to watching, and I had high hopes for it. Come on…the previews looked great!

Nevertheless the movie failed, it did not bring anything new or exciting to the world, and the actors (who are usually great) failed to impress. It was almost like the actors slept through filming because they shared thoughts similar to mine, except they got a fat pay check for being part of it.

Any time you get the feeling that the people on the film are not fully committed; it may be time to cut your losses and run. With that I give “Lucy” two thumbs way down, and I recommend you wait to see it when it comes out on TV. NOTE: Don’t be surprised when this film comes out on television and it airs on one of those above channels. Maybe PBS will air it…who knows?
