Last Night’s Dinner #6

Last night I kept it pretty old school with something my Grandpa would be proud to eat; a thick cut ham steak smothered in a Pepper Cream Sauce, straight up no gourmet twisted mashed potatoes, and buttery homemade rolls. Literally I can imagine my Grandpa sitting down to eat this meal. He was a John Wayne cowboy type figure, larger than life, farmed the land from before sunup to after sundown, and had the respect of everyone who was blessed to know him. Talking old school…this is something that I would have enjoyed 200 years ago, and it is something that my family enjoys today…simple comfort food.
