Denny’s Restaurant Review

Denny’s is an okay restaurant that is renowned for slow service, but beats IHOP every day of the week.
Denny’s has an older vibe to it, as in the restaurant looks and feels like it is from days gone by. This is purposely done, because even the newest built Denny’s attracts the 60 and over crowd. I always feel out of place whenever I eat there, and know there are crocheted doilies hiding somewhere. The food is middle of the road, and the prices and serving sizes are far better than IHOP.
My favorite waiter of all time is named Joe, and he works at the Denny’s in Jantzen Beach in Portland, OR. Joe has the best table manners and customer service that I have ever seen, or will ever see, in a restaurant setting. Joe is top notch great!
There is this Denny’s in the The Dalles/Hood River area of Oregon that we have been to so many times and never seemed to learn not to go to it. The food is about the same as any other Denny’s, but the fleas bite. When we were looking for a house in the Portland area, we drove back and forth from Yakima, WA a lot, and seemed to have dinner in the middle of the night on the way back to Yakima as we were so busy trying to find a house in the limited time we had. All four of us would leave itchy with little red bumps on our arms and legs, every time, but we always stopped because we were hungry and nothing else was open. To think of it, it’s funny because every time we went there someone was vacuuming the carpet, and so they knew about the problem it would seem.
Free breakfast on your birthday and a Joe the waiter keeps me coming back.
