“Winter’s Tale” is a fantastic movie about the power of the heart and the gift of love; the struggle between good and evil, and right from wrong.
Come on? Any movie that has Will Smith playing Lucifer and Russell Crowe playing a demon has to be good, and their portrayals were top notch. The big problem with the film was Colin Farrell, because of his lack of acting skills. However, Colin’s character was right up “his alley” and I actually believe that the writers had Mr. Farrell in mind for this part because I can imagine him being that way in real life. If Colin would have stopped, took a breath, and didn’t try so hard; his portrayal of the leading man would have been perfect.
This movie is not as predictable as I thought; with that said as each new section came to light it was easy to figure out where it was taking you. Love is eternal, and love has many layers, and it is not something to take for granted, nor can one always figure it out.
I give “Winter’s Tale” two thumbs up, I recommend seeing this in theaters.
