Question: Why do you keep your videos raw and uncut?
I do my videos the way that I do them for a purpose. I want them “raw”
because that’s how people really are. I do edit something’s (like you
picking your nose, but I’ll keep it in there next
time), but I want to keep the person and the experience just as they
are. If you don’t like how you look in my video, then don’t leave the
house, because that is how you really look.
Question: Don’t you know how to edit?
Yes! Am I the best? Not at all. My skills are limited, but I have the
skills and resources to do more if I choose to. I keep my videos the way
that I do for a very specific purpose, and that is that the world is
fake; as in Photoshop and CGI.
I know this sucky-ass
photographer without any real skill or an eye for it; however their
Photoshop skills are absolutely amazing…the people in the photos look
nothing like the real person. I also know a few video editors that alter
images all of the time. It is common these days, and I am tired of it.
Question: Why isn’t your stuff “pretty” like other people’s stuff?
The name of my cooking show is “Rustic Eats”, and it is called that
because I focus on the food. Can I make “pretty” food? Hell yeah I can
(I have both the patience and the skills to make food “pretty”), but I
don’t (it’s not ugly though either). The food in magazines isn’t real;
it is painted and inedible (for the most part); similar to the damn
Photoshop photos.
MY ISSUE…If you don’t like my stuff, then
don’t be a part of it; however, the people complaining aren’t associated
with my Lemon Cake Initiative (or my show), nor will they ever be. I
have never reached out to them, never thought about reaching out to
them, but they open their mouths up anyways. They have no idea what is
going on, and they probably don’t care except for the fact that I make
them feel bad for them having no skills. They’re no talent wannabes. I’m
not the best, I’ll admit that, but I am doing what I want with what I
have; and I am proud of who I am, what I am doing, and the people I have
been working with.
Look…I love Photoshop and use it for lots
of things, but there is a time and a place for it; just like there is a
time and place for CGI and editing alterations. Unfortunately it is way
over used, mostly to hide the shortcomings of the photographer. My
videos might not be the best quality, but they are how I want them. The
people are real, the subject matter is real, and you get to see the
“real” person.

…love to everyone else
MUCH LOVE TO EVERYONE ELSE…The people that
have supported me, helped me, worked with me, and have been part of this
journey are the absolute best. The folks that watch the videos and
share their thoughts are fantastic. We have a long way to go, and a lot
of great stuff coming up. Thank you!!

“Deet N Bax” Eat Lemon Cake - Video Slideshow
Since my videos of the cast and crew of “Deet N
Bax Save the World” are still in their stupid “I don’t want to play”
corrupted state of being I have no choice but to put out a video
slideshow of pics.
(Damn…I even spelled Craig’s name wrong…this project must be cursed (if I believed in such things))

Interstellar Movie Review
This is one of those things that people could debate forever, and never come up with the “right” answer. Who are “they”? Is it us…is it God? The science of the movie is remarkable, but the child-parent relationship is even stronger and more emotional than I would have thought.
I don’t say this a lot, but every member of the cast was perfect. They were the perfect actors for their roles, and they portrayed their characters very well.
Spoiler Alert Questions:
In real life, who would really win the fights of: Matthew McConaughey-vs-Matt Damon and Casey Afleck-vs-Topher Grace?
Black hole? Gravity? 5th dimension? Religion? God-vs-no God? This movie is and will be an all-time great.
I seriously cannot say enough about this movie because I absolutely loved it. I give this movie two gigantic thumbs up, and I recommend seeing this in theaters.

John Wick Movie Review
“Are you saying that John Wick is the boogeyman?”
“No…he’s who you send to hunt the boogeyman.”
Keanu Reeves is Keanu Reeves, but this role fits him. Keanu is not a great actor…at all, but I don’t care because he is one of those people that I give a pass to because I like him so much.
SPOILER…everybody dies…even the dog.
There is one simple fact that could make this film a game changer for the entire action genre, and set “John Wick” up as one the greatest action movies ever…and that fact is…everyone dies (wait…I just said that in the spoiler alert…wait…keep reading).
Most every movie of this type (possibly every action movie ever made) has the same formula that never made sense to me, and that is...not everyone dies.
Hero goes in and shoots a couple guys…they die.
Hero flips another guy over his shoulder…never see the guy again (not dead though).
Hero shoots another guy…dead.
Hero punches or kicks another guy or two…never see them again (not dead though).
This is where “John Wick” is different.
JW goes in and shoots a couple guys…they die.
JW flips another guy over his shoulder…then shoots them…they die.
JW shoots another guy…dead.
JW punches or kicks another guy or two…then shoots them…they die.
Seriously…there was no baddy escaping this movie, and that is what separates this film from all of the others.
That point alone is fantastic, but not enough to totally save the movie. I give “John Wick” one thumb up, and I recommend you wait to see it when it is released on DVD.

How Does DJ Cowboy Eat Lemon Cake?
The one, the only, the first...The Original DJ Cowboy.
What can you say about this man? He actually knows everyone. He does everything. He is an accomplished actor. He is part of the music scene. He makes appearances, opens clubs, is known far and wide, and the biggest of all of his accomplishments is being so successful at what he does that others copy him. Imitation is the biggest form of flattery (it also sucks). There are people out there taking his name, stealing his act, pretending to be him…but when all the smoke clears and the BS is pushed aside…it is clear who the real is, and who are just pretending.
DJ Cowboy is the real deal, and he knows how to throw down a lemon cake.
